To celebrate the launch of our partnership with Runna, we launched one of our biggest competitions to date. The idea behind this competition is to prove that there is meaning behind our words, Ultras for All.
We reached out to all of our Trail Series audience to find two strong, determined and trail-loving winners. We were overwhelmed with the response, and hope that in doing this competition we can show the hundreds of entrees who unfortunately didn’t get selected, that with the help of our official training plan provider, Runna, and our best-in-class event support you can run an Ultramarathon.
“Hey, I’m Hannah. I’m really excited to have won this competition and to start training for an ultra! I currently live in Bristol and have done for the last 5 years. I’m an accountant, working in Financial Advisory. I’d say I’m a keen novice runner, having run my first half marathon last week in Bath, and Le Grand Classique 16k in Paris in September, so slightly nervous but very keen about the idea of an ultramarathon!”
“Hey, I’m Hazel and I am a final year medical student studying in Birmingham. Growing up, I did loads of sports but mainly focussed on swimming and competed to a high level. As the demands of my degree increased, I had to stop swimming so much and decided I needed a new challenge. I am so excited to start taking my running to the trails and to find and push through new limits as I work towards smashing an ultra!”
Join thousands of runners at the start line in 2023 at one of the UK’s best supported Ultramarathons.
Whether you want to join us at Race to the Stones and follow in the footsteps of Romans, Vikings and mythical warriors in their quest to reach the ancient stone circle at Avebury, or follow the path of Kings from ancient coasts to sweeping ridges at Race to the King, the trails are waiting for you…
